Exam and Study Guide: Exam Day

Before the Exam

Eat a good breakfast such as porridge or Weetabix for slow-release energy

Give yourself plenty of time to travel to the venue

Plan to arrive when the exam room opens to locate your seat

In the Exam

 Be sure you have the correct exam paper

 Read the exam instructions and ensure you understand them

 Fill in the required student details and other requested information

 Check over the paper, back to front, to ensure you cover all questions

 Give equal time to questions which carry the same marks

 Decide which questions to answer – start with your best question

 Jot down ideas that come to mind throughout

  • Think back to your notes
  • Remember your flashcards
  • Focus on any mnemonics you created to jog your memory
  • Take a deep breath
  • Ask yourself questions about the Who? What? Where? 
  • Leave the question and come back to it
