Research Data Management: National & International Funder Guidance

National & International Funder Guidance

Research funders and policy bodies at both national and international levels set clear expectations for how data should be managed, shared, and preserved. This section brings together guidance from Irish funders and policy frameworks (such as NORF, HRB, IRC, and SFI) alongside international initiatives including Horizon Europe, EOSC, and the FAIR principles. By consulting these resources, researchers can ensure their Data Management Plans align with best practice, comply with funder requirements, and support the wider shift toward open and FAIR research.

Horizon Europe – Guidelines on Data Management Plans

Provides official guidance on preparing DMPs for Horizon Europe projects, with emphasis on FAIR data and open access to research outputs. Essential for all EU-funded projects.
