Doi’s are a unique identifier assigned to certain online articles, books and other works. In essence it is a permanent link to that particular document.  While not available for every document or source in general as a Doi is more permanent than a URL, do it id recommended that you use these whenever you can. Doi’s are usually found in the article information at the top of the page of an article.
